Seriously..that’s it. I’m home for one night, then I have to turn around and go back to Clackamas, which seems like such a waste, and it’s putting a lot of miles on my car, but I just have to keep remembering that I’m driving for dollars.

Coulda been worse

Yesterday I was annoyed that I have to spend an extra night in Portland. Not because there’s anything wrong with Portland, but because I like being home. Right now, I’m thrilled that I don’t have to drive back to Seattle, because I’m not sure I could stay awake.
I was so nervous about today’s seminar that [...]
Holiday travel

It took me five hours to drive from Seattle to Portland today. Ugh. At one point some guy walked by me on on the shoulder, on his way to see what the hell the hold-up was. Around an hour later, he walked by again going the other way.
I rolled down my window and asked, “Hey [...]
Nick of time

That might be a bit dramatic. It’s not 11:55 or anything, but this is the first time I’ve thought to post today.

Well, not really. But I did have a one-margarita lunch and then a one-martini after work drink. It was great. Definitely one of those days when I feel like a bit of a slacker at work. I did actually do things this morning, but then went out to lunch with a coworker, had a drink, [...]
Bye-bye boss

I found out today that my boss is leaving. I knew he was looking elsewhere, so it’s not a huge surprise, but I have to admit I’m a little sad about it.
I’m not going to look at my time working for him through rose-colored classes. As a manager, he was a good guy. He left [...]
Working hard, hardly working

Most days I love my job. I see other people at the office who make less money and work harder than I do. When I occasionally leave work early on a Friday, I try to sneak out– not because I don’t want to get caught, but because I feel bad that there are [...]
…and away we go

I was going to cheat on my first post of this month-long thing by doing a “100 things about me” list, but holy shit, that’s a lot of work! Eventually I’ll get one up, but it won’t be today.
I’m not sure if there will be any sort of theme to this. Probably not. Just whatever [...]
